Camano Lutheran Childcare is a non-profit, Christian, full-day, half-day and before/after school care that welcomes all children 2-12 years old regardless of race, nationality or creed and for anyone who may benefit from our program.

 

Established in 1981, In response to a very evident need for child care services in the Stanwood/Camano area, Camano Lutheran Church started a non-profit, all day childcare program. Over the years the program has grown always keeping its main goals of providing a quality, caring, safe place for children and families to learn and respect others.

 

Highlights

 

• Participates in Washington Early Achievers program, for more information about this website here:  https://www.dcyf.wa.gov

• Onsite commercial kitchen, we provide USDA approved meals daily.

• Full indoor gym and outdoor playground.

• Licensed facility and staff by the State of Washington Department of Social and Health Services.

• Accepts DSHS.

• Staff is required ongoing continued education.

• A long history of many personal relationships between the children and teachers with multiple generations of families returning here. 

• Chapel time twice a week- which includes bible stories, singing, games and learning about the Christian faith with pastor Scott Brents.

• Participates in Sno-isle library program which includes monthly book exchanges and circle time.

• Bus pick-up and drop of for Camano Island school district for before and after school care.

• Summer program for school age children.
